Intangible Cultural Heritage

Zhangye geopark is multi-ethnic and has created rich cultural heritages in the splendid history. As an important part of cultural heritage, intangible cultural heritage is an important witness of history and carrier of regional national culture. The work about intangible cultural heritage in Zhangye geopark has made significant progress. Up to now, 3 intangible cultural heritages, namely Yugur folk songs, Yugur costumes and Yugur marriage customs have been included into the national intangible cultural heritage list; 10 intangible cultural heritages, i.e. Sunan Tibetan folk songs, Yugur life etiquettes (shaving hair, wedding, funeral lighting) and Yugur skin carving skills have been included into the provincial intangible cultural heritage list; 9 intangible cultural heritage like Sunan Mongolian folk songs, Sunan Tibetan folk songs, and Yugur spring festival hospitality etiquettes have entered the municipal intangible cultural heritage list.
